Innovation and IoT News

This issue's theme is centered around all things IoT and Innovation, a subject always brimming with exciting stories from the tech space. Keysight announced industry-first testing capabilities designed to test the robustness of post-quantum cryptography. This latest addition to Keysight Inspector is a notable expansion of the comprehensive platform that helps device and chip vendors identify and fix hardware vulnerabilities. Jabra Enhance launched its Jabra Enhance Select 500, its smallest, most advanced hearing aid yet. Spirent and Aviz Networks are collaborating to further strengthen the Networking 3.0 Stack by offering customers more open, hardware vendor-agnostic methods for conducting intelligent traffic monitoring across various 5G network applications, including voice, video, data, mission critical services, IoT, and enterprise and industrial applications.

IBM formed an agreement with RIKEN to deploy IBM’s next-generation quantum computer architecture and best-performing quantum processor at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science in Kobe, Japan. It will be the only instance of a quantum computer co-located with the supercomputer Fugaku. Keysight's device security research lab, Riscure Security Solutions, has received formal approval from the Netherlands Vehicle Authority to become a designated technical service provider for approval of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe R155 and R156 regulations. The Estee Lauder Companies and Microsoft created an AI Innovation Lab as an expansion of their global strategic relationship.

LTIMindtree has collaborated with IBM to establish a global, joint Generative AI Center of Excellence in India, a co-innovation center combining the power of the IBM watsonx AI and data platform and the engineering skills of LTIMindtree. The China National Intellectual Property Administration granted Wearable Devices' patent application, titled Method and Apparatus for a Gesture Controlled Interface for Wearable Devices

Network and Mobile News

In Network and Mobile News, e& UAE, the telecom arm of e&, will leverage Nokia’s cloud interconnect solution to provide connectivity services for hyperscalers in the United Arab Emirates. By using Nokia’s FP5-based technology, e& UAE can now offer significantly high-quality connectivity to hyperscalers. Nokia and Vodafone have successfully completed an end-to-end Open RAN trial on Vodafone Italy’s live 5G standalone network. on|comms has chosen Optiva's BSS platform, hosted on Google Cloud, to provide mobile connectivity to its members with the launch of a new MVNO service. on|comms will provide simplified access to a wide variety of veterans services and a comprehensive transition assistance program supporting active duty service members and their families and their reintegration into civilian life. 

Digital Nasional Berhad and Ericsson created a program to catalyze the digitalization of enterprises in Malaysia, enabled by the capabilities of the world-leading 5G network. TruVista is harnessing Adtran's ALM fiber monitoring solution to ensure the reliability of its high-speed broadband services. Adtran’s ALM gives TruVista’s maintenance teams comprehensive and immediate insight into their optical infrastructure, including third-party links. VIAVI launched SecurePNT 6200 with SecureTimeSM services, a resilient timing clock solution that delivers the most comprehensive assurance of positioning, navigation and timing services used in critical infrastructure operations worldwide.

The Council of the EU unveiled the Gigabit Infrastructure Act to ensure faster deployment of digital network infrastructure across Europe, replacing the 2014 Broadband Cost Reduction Directive. The new law aims to simplify and accelerate the roll-out of high-speed networks, such as fiber and 5G, with a view to achieving
