Netcracker’s recently launched GenAI Telco Solution, which unlocks the potential of generative AI technology to deliver exceptional business value to the telecom industry. Salesforce released Generative AI Snapshot Research: The AI Divide, a survey of more than 4,000 people across the United States, UK, Australia, and India. The research shows that 49% of people have used generative AI, with over one-third of these users tapping into the technology daily and planning to use it even more. The data also shows that half of all people have never used the technology, however, and 64% of them would use it more if it was safe/secure. 

IBM has made plans for new generative AI foundation models and enhancements coming to watsonx—its AI and data platform with a set of AI capabilities designed to help enterprises scale and accelerate the impact of AI. Optiva launched its next-generation converged Optiva Charging Engine, the latest advancement in the company’s billing and charging portfolio. The new release features AI-based personalization to enable real-time digital customer experiences. Orca Security has launched AI-driven cloud asset search in the Orca Cloud Security Platform, which offers a search that’s as intuitive as asking a question, allowing not only security practitioners but also developers, DevOps, cloud architects, and risk governance and compliance teams to quickly understand exactly what is in their cloud environments. IBM released updates and new features made in collaboration with ESPN to the ESPN Fantasy Football app, putting the power of artificial intelligence technology built on IBM's watsonx in the hands of over 11 million fantasy football users.

In this month’s security news, IBM expanded its IBM Cloud Security and Compliance Center, a suite of modernized cloud security and compliance solutions designed to help enterprises mitigate risk and protect data across their hybrid, multicloud environments and workloads.

CrowdStrike released Falcon Complete for Service Providers, a new program that gives Managed Security Service Providers, Managed Service Providers, System Integrators, and Global System Integrators the ability to create and augment their service offerings with CrowdStrike’s elite 24/7 expert monitoring, proactive threat hunting, integrated threat intelligence, and end-to-end remediation offerings. The cybersecurity company also released Accelerate, a new partner program to usher a modern, disruptive movement for CrowdStrike Falcon platform adoption and ecosystem growth. Accelerate is designed to empower the partner ecosystem to land and expand with CrowdStrike Falcon as well as collaborate on and through cybersecurity’s leading AI-native platform.

Keysight Technologies and Synopsys are partnering to provide IoT device makers with a comprehensive cybersecurity assessment solution to ensure consumers are protected when devices are shipped to market. Under the arrangement, the Synopsys Defensics fuzzing tool will be embedded as an option into the Keysight IoT Security Assessment solution. NETSCOUT found that Cybercriminals launched approximately 7.9 million DDoS attacks in the first half of 2023, representing a 31% year-over-year increase from its 1H2023 DDoS Threat Intelligence Report.

Cloud News

In Cloud news, Huawei Cloud launched Huawei Cloud Riyadh Region—which will focus on serving the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa—to provide innovative, reliable, secure, and sustainable cloud services. Wiz has joined the Fortinet Fabric-Ready Technology Alliance Partner Program and Fortinet has joined the Wiz Integration Program. The two companies have jointly developed an integrated solution to help enterprises protect their cloud workload environments with leading network security from Fortinet and leading cloud security from Wiz.
