IoT and Innovation News

In IoT and Innovation news, one of the world’s leading metrology institutes has conducted a three-month-long evaluation of Adtran’s OSA 3300-HP high-performance optical cesium atomic clock. The National Content & Technology Cooperative launched its Connectivity Exchange. This fully built and integrated platform is an industry first that allows its member operators to compete for and win bids to provide broadband network services to large-scale commercial customers through a members-only buying and selling platform. In addition, the innovative platform offers automated quote-to-order processes with unified billing and support. 

Ericsson has switched on the first 5G Standalone network in Denmark with the help of Danish digital infrastructure provider TDC NET. The transition to high-performance 5G SA technology will enhance the regional 5G ecosystem, accelerate innovation across industries, and unlock exciting possibilities for consumers. Tuya Smart has jointly established a Collaborative Security Lab with Amazon Web Services. This initiative aims to fortify security, compliance capabilities, and technological innovation within the IoT industry, setting new benchmarks for security and compliance standards across the sector. Karcher has networked its autonomous robot scrubber drier on the Deutsche Telekom Internet of Things. The cooperation with Deutsche Telekom enables the German family-owned firm to market its smart cleaning machines globally.

Market News

As always, there’s movement in the ever-changing markets of the telco world. In market news, CrowdStrike has agreed to acquire Bionic, the pioneer of Application Security Posture Management (ASPM). The combination will extend CrowdStrike’s leading Cloud Native Application Protection Platform with ASPM to deliver comprehensive risk visibility and protection across the entire cloud estate, from cloud infrastructure to the applications and services running inside of them. Cisco and Splunk formed a definitive agreement under which Cisco intends to acquire Splunk for $157 per share in cash, representing approximately $28 billion in equity value. Upon close of the acquisition, Splunk President and CEO, Gary Steele, will join Cisco’s Executive Leadership Team reporting to Chair and CEO, Chuck Robbins.

5G Americas has introduced a white paper titled “The State of Mobile Network Evolution,” which provides updates on global initiatives and advances in next generation wireless technologies such as Full Duplex, JCAS, and Intelligent Surfaces. Juniper Networks announced that Savant Systems has selected Juniper’s AI-Driven Enterprise solutions, including wireless access, to help revolutionize the home automation experience by bringing intelligent controls to millions of homes.
