The European Commission has authorized a consortium led by Deutsche Telekom to build testing infrastructure for quantum key distribution, which will enable the evaluation of European manufacturers’ QKD devices. The U.S. National Telecommunications and Information Administration has awarded VIAVI Solutions a grant from the Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund’s first Notice of Funding Opportunity. The grant provides $21.7 million in funding over a three-year performance period for the VIAVI Automated Lab-as-a-Service for Open RAN.
