Deutsche Telekom has shared that even without a fiber-optic connection, customers can now use speeds of up to 500 Mbit/s with MagentaZuhause Hybrid XXL. Deutsche Telekom is once again speeding up its fixed-network connections and will be offering innovative hybrid solutions for fast and fail-safe Internet from 1 August. With the new MagentaZuhause Hybrid plans, speeds of up to 500 Mbps for download and 50 Mbps for upload are possible. Globalstar has successfully installed Clifton-8, the first 6-meter tracking antenna dedicated to its upcoming C-3 mobile satellite system, officially kicking off a sweeping global expansion of Globalstar’s ground infrastructure related to the new Extended MSS Network. 5G Americas published a new white paper, Transforming Industries with Integrated Sensing and Communication. The report explores how Integrated Sensing and Communication will enhance future mobile networks by enabling them to simultaneously communicate and sense their environment, unlocking powerful new use cases and revenue opportunities.

Three of Nokia’s network APIs, Quality of Service on Demand, Number Verification, and Device Location Verification, are now available on Google Cloud Marketplace, making it even easier for thousands of developers around the world to access the APIs to write applications that developer customers can use. Singtel has signed a contract with NEC Corporation to build the  Asia United Gateway East submarine cable system connecting Singapore and Japan, with Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, and Taiwan. Targeted for completion by the third quarter of 2029, the 8,900 km high-capacity cable system will support the demand for more bandwidth across this route, enhancing digital connectivity in the region.

Orange Cyberdefense has acquired 100% of ensec,a Swiss cybersecurity company based in Zurich, known for its expertise in consulting, IT security integration, managed security services, and tailored support for a wide-ranging portfolio of products from leading cybersecurity providers. This targeted acquisition, which was finalized on 23 July, will reinforce Orange Cyberdefense’s existing presence in Switzerland. Fortinet has expanded innovations within its unified operating system, FortiOS, that protect against quantum-computing threats to current encryption standards.
