Cox Communications announced that it is now collaborating with Intel and Future Technologies to design and deploy end-to-end managed private network solutions for public and private sector commercial customers. RETN has further expanded its existing Warsaw metro fiber ring by adding two new PoPs in the Polish capital. The two-step expansion saw RETN deploy a second fiber ring by adding two diverse fiber routes into the Equinix WA2 Warsaw Data Centre.
In other network expansion news, Beeline has launched mobile connectivity across the metro service of the capital city of Tashkent in Uzbekistan. The new Beeline Uzbekistan coverage will provide 4G connectivity at all 31 underground stations on the four lines of the metro service. In addition, in the United States, the NCTA – the Rural Broadband Association announced it has entered two new strategic collaborations with Corning and Northwood Technical College to help community-based broadband providers overcome supply chain and workforce challenges and prepare for growth driven by funding for network deployment in the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act.
FocusPoint, which specializes in emergency response as a service, has secured $20 million (USD) in committed financing in response to an increase in demand from a growing customer base in the satellite emergency notification device vertical, with an emphasis on the emerging satellite-enabled smartphone segment. In addition, the Japanese company Fujitsu has launched its 1FINITY Ultra Optical System, a hyper-reliable optical transport platform delivering extreme performance and scalability with data rates of 1.2 terabits per second on a single wavelength, with future upgrade to 1.6 Tbps.
Finally, R&M, a provider of high-end infrastructure solutions for data and communications networks, is expanding its portfolio for fiber-optic-based above-ground cable laying, supporting fast, large-scale FTTx network connectivity in suburban and rural regions.

The new offering is a comprehensive managed Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution that includes SD-WAN, cloud-delivered security, and enhanced automation and reporting. Also, ArmorPoint and CONNECT LATAM have formed a strategic partnership to provide enhanced security over an expanded footprint in Latin America.
Malwarebytes announced the addition of Malwarebytes Application Block to its Nebula and OneView endpoint protection platforms. The new threat prevention module helps resource-strained security teams quickly guard against unsafe third-party Windows applications, meet key compliance requirements and encourage productivity efficiently. Zscaler intends to acquire Canonic Security, a SaaS application security platform innovator. Canonic’s platform is designed to prevent organizations' growing risks of SaaS supply chain attacks.
