exceptional and seamless travel experiences. Juniper Research’s new study has found there will be over 490 million low-power IoT roaming connections by 2028, growing from 90 million in 2023. Low-power networks, such as NB-IoT and LTE-M, connect devices and sensors over cellular networks to remotely monitor environments in industries including smart cities, agriculture, and manufacturing.

CommScope and STMicroelectronics have integrated CommScope’s PKIWorks IoT security platform with ST’s popular STM32WB microcontroller unit. This integrated solution offers device manufacturers a turnkey solution for developing IoT devices that meet the Connectivity Standards Alliance’s Matter standard for security. Cisco added new features, enhancements, and tools for its extensive partner community. As Cisco invests in creating more business value throughout the entire customer lifecycle, it has initiated a significant evolution of its flagship incentives to reward partners for selling Cisco hardware, software, and as-a-service solutions. To support partners’ competitiveness, Cisco is adding up to six new solution specializations within the next nine months.

The Federal Communications Commission announced it is committing nearly $5.2 million in a new funding round through the Emergency Connectivity Fund Program, which provides digital tools and services to support students in communities across the U.S.  The funding commitment supports applications from the third application window, benefitting approximately 14,000 students nationwide, including students in California, New Jersey, and Wisconsin.

This month the markets have shown collaboration across the world with large purchase orders, factory openings and more, dominating the telco market headlines. In Market News, Vodafone intends to create a strategic partnership with Accenture to commercialize Vodafone’s shared operations to accelerate growth, enhance customer service, and drive significant efficiencies for Vodafone’s operating companies and partner markets, as well as create new career opportunities for its people. Lumen finalized the close of the sale of its European, Middle Eastern, and African business to Colt Technology Services, headquartered in London, for $1.8 billion cash. Adtran opened its new Terafactory in Meiningen, Germany, fortifying supply chain resilience and accelerating regional technological advancements. The new state-of-the-art facility brings production back to Central Europe, boosting the company’s robustness against global logistics shocks and promising to create new local jobs.

Radware signed a managed security service provider reseller agreement with Feenix Communications Limited, a multi-carrier telecommunications company providing solutions to the service provider industry. Based on the agreement, Feenix Communications plans to resell Radware’s application and network security solutions to its network integrator and internet service provider customers in New Zealand. Wearable Devices now has the receipt of a purchase order for its evaluation kit samples and dedicated evaluation software from a prominent Japanese industrial automation company.

Nokia Bell Labs and Aramco have signed a non-binding R&D collaboration agreement to support Industry 4.0/4IR digital use-case creation and proof of concept development for priority industrial sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and beyond. Vodafone Group has entered into binding agreements with Zegona Communications in relation to the sale of 100% of Vodafone Holdings Europe, S.L.U. Ericsson has been granted funding from Germany’s Economic Affairs and Climate Action Ministry for its 30 million Euro KeeCEK (Small efficient effective Cloud Edge Nodes) project, aimed at ramping up the development of innovative cloud and edge infrastructure technologies. The project is part of the Important Project of Common European Interest on Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services (IPCEI-CIS).
