Network & 5G News

Our Mobile issue will be releasing early next year, and we’re excited as 5G has been one of 2023’s most dominant themes. In Network & 5G News, Orange Business and VMware are strengthening their partnership to deliver Flexible SD-WAN with VMware as the first fully embedded SD-WAN offering in their Evolution Platform. The City of Las Vegas has selected Juniper Cloud Metro solutions for building its private 5G network, powering services for city government, public schools, tourism, and residents, and helping the city reach its goal of becoming a model smart city by 2025.

Japanese mobile operator, NTT DOCOMO, is deploying Nokia’s Open RAN-compliant 5G AirScale baseband solution including Centralized Unit and Distributed Unit software in its commercial network nationwide. Cisco has added seven new modules to the Cisco Observability Platform, built by development partners and created to expand its full-stack observability ecosystem.


Nokia has entered into an agreement with TATA Play Fiber to launch India’s first WiFi6-ready broadband network. Ericsson has launched a new software toolkit to strengthen 5G standalone network capabilities and enable premium services with differentiated connectivity. The portfolio enhancement comes as the growth of new use cases and rising mobile user expectations on the quality of 5G experience are putting greater demands on network capacity and performance.

Security & Assurance News

In Security & Assurance News, Cycode released Raven, a CI/CD pipeline security scanner that makes hidden risks visible by connecting the dots across vulnerabilities woven throughout the pipeline that, when viewed collectively, reveal a much greater risk than when assessed as one-off CVEs. CrowdStrike announced that their AI-powered cybersecurity offering for small and medium businesses, CrowdStrike Falcon Go, is now available on Amazon Business.

Palo Alto Networks announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Talon Cyber Security, a pioneer of Enterprise Browser technology. Talon's Enterprise Browser provides an innovative, cutting-edge solution that, when combined with
