At the national level, the Japanese government, industrial leaders, and NVIDIA launched the world’s first national AI infrastructure for physical AI, with Noetra building a Vera Rubin AI factory delivering 140 megawatts. Nokia launched the industry’s first commercial AI-native RAN platform, built on anyRAN software and NVIDIA Aerial, targeting more than 100 percent spectral efficiency gains by 2028. Rounding out the innovation wave, NEC developed the world’s first proprietary AI technology that rapidly generates highly detailed 3D models solely from general-purpose camera footage while automatically removing unnecessary subjects.
Sunrise is modernizing its CRM with Amdocs aOS, the agentic operating system designed to help frontline staff work more efficiently through smarter, governed workflows. In the retail space, Granite was named preferred communications infrastructure provider for Simon properties, deploying Granite Grid to deliver next-generation connectivity across more than 200 premier retail destinations. Meanwhile, Hub One selected Ribbon’s PSX Policy and Routing Engine to unify voice traffic routing across its applications, enabling seamless policy control and resilience.
On the enterprise applications front, Oracle introduced an AI-native builder experience that allows customers and partners to create and run agentic applications natively inside Oracle Fusion Applications, complete with governance, security, and auditability. Rounding out the segment, Insygna published a white paper on managing AI agents as an extended workforce, outlining a practical framework for HR, Finance, and Procurement leaders as organizations scale toward tens or hundreds of thousands of agents.
Cloudflare added an AEO Visibility Dashboard to its Answer Engine Optimization suite, giving brands clearer insight into whether AI assistants are recommending them. On the regulatory side, the FCC proposed expanded direct-to-device satellite connectivity for unlicensed wireless devices and later advanced a related proposal for D2D satellite broadband. Meanwhile, AT&T selected Ericsson to supply 600 MHz dual-band radios and closed its acquisition of low- and mid-band spectrum licenses from EchoStar, adding approximately 50 MHz nationwide.
In the venue space, Boldyn Networks deployed a neutral-host DAS system at The O2 Belfast. Across the Middle East, e& UAE is building a future-ready DWDM network powered by Ciena and also activated the highest 1024QAM modulation on its live 5.5G network, reaching 4.58 Gbps. In Japan, Adtran and TOHKnet completed the country’s first live 50G PON trial, while NTT DOCOMO became the first to deploy Nokia’s AI-powered MantaRay AutoPilot for automated network optimization.
AZIO AI signed a master services agreement with AT&T for enterprise fiber interconnectivity at its first 500 MW AI data campus. AccelerComm partnered with Eclipse Space to power 5G NTN physical-layer technology for sovereign satellite constellations. Lightpath reported that IP backbone traffic grew 32% as enterprises adopt AI. Ericsson was selected for the 5G-enabled Digital Radio System supporting Queensland Rail ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympics. In Morocco, inwi and Huawei commercially deployed a dual-band 8T8R solution along major transportation corridors.
Comcast broke ground on a broadband network expansion in Napavine, Washington. Telefónica Deutschland and Blue Planet demonstrated how AI agents can accelerate 5G network slicing service design. Taara launched the industry’s first link planner for wireless optical communications. Cambium Networks introduced a high-density Wi-Fi 7 solution for large venues. TIM Brasil partnered with HCLTech to enable South America’s first cross-platform eSIM transfer capability.
Silo Communications is expanding fiber connectivity in rural Illinois with Adtran. HPE expanded its self-driving networking strategy across edge, campus, data center, and AI factories. Vodafone Albania and Nokia demonstrated 5G network slicing powered by Agentic AI. Nokia and Taiwan Mobile extended their 5G partnership to advance AI-powered networks. euNetworks launched the most direct long-haul fiber route between Paris and Milan.
Mimosa Networks and Viaero Wireless demonstrated scalable 5 GHz and 6 GHz fixed wireless broadband with AFC. Tele2 secured new spectrum in Lithuania to strengthen 5G connectivity. Mercantile Space partnered with Rivada for secure LEO connectivity via the Outernet. Cisco was named Official Network Supplier for The R&A’s major golf championships and new headquarters / The Open and AIG Women’s Open. Race Communications unveiled a multiphase all-fiber network expansion into Fresno, California. Finally, DE-CIX and South Front Networks partnered to reduce latency for Upper Midwest ISPs by extending access to DE-CIX Chicago.
