These new detection and response capabilities stop emerging attack techniques and help improve speed and accuracy in threat detection and response. In its quarterly report on Distributed Denial of Service attacks, Lumen Technologies revealed the company mitigated a 1.06 terabits-per-second attack that was part of a larger campaign targeting a single victim. Despite the size and complexity of the attempted DDoS attack, the target experienced no downtime. Nokia’s iSIM Secure Connect solution has been accredited by the GSMA after demonstration of an ongoing and systematic approach to managing information security risks and protecting data.

Forescout has joined the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC) to further support the U.S. government’s focus on the cybersecurity and resilience of its industrial control systems and operational technology. Established by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), JCDC connects cyber defenders to enable critical thinking and planning against cyberattacks. Radware has launched a new cloud security center in Santiago, Chile to enable customers in Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay to strengthen their cyber-defenses, secure web and mobile applications, and meet data localization requirements.

Secure access service edge news showcased advancements in secure connectivity. Comcast Business and Fortinet launched a new strategic partnership to deliver SASE and security service edge solutions. cloudIT and Versa Networks will partner on SASE to simplify and secure the modern network. Axiata Group Berhad and Versa Networks will deliver SASE technology for rapidly digitalizing enterprises across Asia, expanding their managed connectivity, smart services, cloud and cybersecurity offerings.

Leaderboard news was dominated by mergers and acquisitions this month. Telit and Thales jointly announced they have entered into an agreement under which Telit intends to acquire Thales' cellular IoT products. The intended transaction includes Thales' portfolio of cellular wireless communication modules, gateways, and data cards, ranging from 4G LTE, LPWAN to 5G. BAI Communications has agreed to acquire ZenFi Networks as part of its strategy to become a leading provider of connected 5G infrastructure across North America and globally. Expereo has announced the acquisition of Breeze Networks, a managed service provider of SD-WAN/SASE technologies, building on its expanding range of services to manage SD-WAN solutions at scale to partners and multinational enterprise customers across the globe.

Transaction Network Services announced the acquisition of AGNITY Global, a provider of intelligent business communication applications and infrastructure to organizations in the telecommunications and healthcare industry verticals. Infobip has completed the purchase of VoIP provider Peerless Network to enhance Infobip’s presence in the U.S. and provide a global one-stop shop for omnichannel communications.

Vodafone Group has entered into terms for the sale of Vodafone Hungary to 4iG Public Limited and Corvinus Zrt. Semtech Corporation confirmed that it has engaged in advanced discussions regarding a potential transaction with Sierra Wireless.
