Nokia Launches Data Center Automation Platform Built for the AI Era
Nokia announced the availability of its AI era, Event-Driven Automation platform. Nokia EDA raises the bar on data center network operations with a modern approach that builds on Kubernetes to bring highly reliable, simplified, and adaptable lifecycle management to data center networks. Aimed at driving human error in network operations to zero, Nokia’s new platform reduces network disruptions and application downtime while also decreasing operational effort up to 40%.

Oi Deploys Nokia Corteca
Nokia announced that Brazilian broadband service provider Oi has deployed Corteca software suite to help manage its Wi-Fi CPE devices deployed in customers’ homes. Dimensioned for millions of Wi-Fi devices, the Corteca deployment is the largest to date in Latin America region.

VIAVI Introduces Benchtop Microscopy Solution
VIAVI announced the introduction of a new optical connector inspection solution for next-generation transceivers. The FVAM-2000 is the latest addition to the company’s benchtop microscopy line and, along with other new optical and Ethernet testing solutions, will be on display at VIAVI Stand A1 during ECOC 2024, September 23-25 in Frankfurt, Germany. ECOC is Europe’s largest exhibition in the optical communication technology industry.

Adtran Expands UK Operations
Adtran announced the opening of a new 20,000-square-foot distribution center in York, UK. The facility expands Adtran’s UK operations, supporting the deployment of its end-to-end fiber infrastructure solutions, including optical transport, Carrier Ethernet and access equipment. By enhancing logistics capabilities, the new center will enable faster delivery of essential network components and ensure the highest levels of service quality for Adtran’s growing customer base.

Gilat Satellite Networks Supported By US Department of Defense
Gilat Satellite Networks announced that its wholly owned US-based subsidiary, DataPath Inc, received contracts in support of the US Department of Defense for core terminal related services, technology insertion and upgrades to systems, cumulatively worth over $5M.

Keysight and Autotalks Advance Vehicle-to-Everything Automotive Security
Keysight announced that its device security research lab, Riscure Security Solutions, has successfully worked with Autotalks to test the security of a vehicle-to-everything communication solution under the Common Criteria certification program. This achievement marks the first V2X chipset with an embedded hardware security module to receive Common Criteria certification.

Nokia and NL-ix announced the deployment of Nokia Deepfield Defender across NL-ix’s network, making it the biggest anti-DDoS solution for an internet exchange point environment rolled out across Europe to better protect customers and operations by stopping DDoS attacks in seconds.

Nokia Selected by Coreweave
Nokia announced it has been selected by CoreWeave, the AI Hyperscaler, to deploy its IP routing and optical transport portfolios globally as part of an extensive backbone build-out, with immediate roll-out across its datacenters in the U.S. and Europe.

CrowdStrike Expands Cybersecurity Startup Accelerator with AWS and NVIDIA
CrowdStrike announced the launch of its second annual Cybersecurity Startup Accelerator with Amazon Web Services. NVIDIA also joins in supporting the Accelerator program, powering the next generation of artificial intelligence and cloud security startups. Targeting cybersecurity’s next market-defining disruptors across the U.S. and EMEA, AWS and CrowdStrike with NVIDIA through its Inception program, will provide mentorship, technical expertise, funding and go-to-market opportunities.

NEC Analyzes Trustworthiness of Information With AI
NEC announced that it is developing a technology that uses AI to analyze the trustworthiness of information on the Internet from multiple perspectives and support fact-checking. This is being carried out as part of a project under Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to develop and demonstrate technologies to counter false and misleading information on the Internet.

SAP Acquires WalkMe
SAP announced it has successfully completed its acquisition of WalkMe a leading digital adoption platform company listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market. WalkMe’s innovative technology enables seamless workflow execution across business software applications, improving user experience and adoption and supporting business transformation.

AST SpaceMobile Launches First Five Commercial Satellites
AST SpaceMobile announced the successful launch of its first five commercial satellites, called BlueBirds. The groundbreaking launch started from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The event was witnessed by partners and retail shareholders from around the globe who had gathered to be a part of this historic milestone.
