This makes Teradata’s modern cloud-native architecture and robust analytics capabilities in ClearScape Analytics available to customers interested in using harmonized data and trusted AI to drive faster innovation. Prodapt announced it has begun to work with Amazon Web Services to help Communications Service Providers achieve business benefits by accelerating their digital transformation.

5G & Network News

Vodafone Spain and SEMI, a Spanish industrial group, have been awarded a five-year, 25.5 million Euro contract by ADIF to enhance the high-speed train routes from Albacete to Alicante and Barcelona to Figueras with reliable 5G coverage. Gilat Satellite Networks was awarded millions of dollars in orders for a cellular backhaul over satellite project led by a Mexican federal agency. Gilat Satellite Networks was also chosen by a Tier 1 global telecommunications operator for the satellite connectivity of a major utility company in Western Europe.

In related satellite news, Digital Locations’ technology team at Florida International University is focused initially on solving the device-side challenges of connecting smartphones to satellites.

A new study by Juniper Research has found that the total minutes of Vo5G usage will reach 4.7 trillion in 2028, representing 42 percent of total minutes and an increase of over 500 percent from 2023. To capitalise on this growth, the report urges operators to develop enterprise-facing solutions, monetising the rise in demand of 5G voice services from enterprises.
