As a result of that trial, Ritter has deployed the SevOne solution to collect and monitor all of its switches, routers, core and edge equipment, and all internal servers. During the two months that Ritter was installing the full SevOne solution, the size of the company nearly doubled as the result of an acquisition, management of the corporation was completely reorganized, and the SevOne solution absorbed it all without substantial adjustments. Using the built-in trending and forecasting tools, Ritter engineering groups are better able to plan and forecast network changes, report to customers, and anticipate trends based on live data rather than summaries.
Cox Communications installed a central analytics team that uses predictive models to support customer acquisition, retention, and event-based marketing across the enterprise. Using SAP InfiniteInsight solution for predictive analytics, the group performs segmentation, classification, regression, and streamlined market analysis across all 28 regions.
In addition to increasing the products sold per household by 14%, Cox has experienced a 28% reduction in customer churn. The SAP InfiniteInsight platform reduces the time required to create models by 80% and helped the analytics group expand its creation of predictive models from 40 to 1680 models annually.

We can do better. We have the tools at hand. We need innovations in measurement to find new, effective ways to deliver those tools and services…”
In businesses worldwide, efforts are underway to define which metrics matter and to make the organization more responsive to the insights delivered by the application of analytics to big data. But this is a foundational change that affects operation across the business; and, without the committed and sustained involvement of the C-suite, big data and analytics initiatives will stall. Without C-suite leadership, there aren’t any answers.
