Automation through revenue acceleration brings freedom to the carrier business
From LinkedIn and Facebook to phones that sync with one touch, we live in a world where we’re all interconnected in more ways than we likely know.
Technology is at the heart of these connections, not to mention much of the world’s communication, and Telarix has found a way to utilize it to better connect carriers, improve voice, data and video quality and automate many business processes with little upfront investment, allowing carriers of all sizes the freedom to compete with one another and interact in an efficient manner. Technology is at the core of two Telarix products, iXLink® and iXTools®, which solve some key issues carriers of all sizes are facing.
Historically, carriers have been unable to effectively communicate with one another, adding to already shrinking margins and inefficiencies and resulting in limited growth. It was clear the telecom industry needed a better system of communication for offers, invoices, declarations, and contracts, yet no one could agree on methods of standardization, as that would mean millions in costs and an unknown time frame for return on investment (ROI). At the request of — and in collaboration with — the market’s carriers, Telarix designed iXLink to help resolve these issues.
The iXLink platform enables carriers, resellers and emerging market providers to automate their financial and wholesale interconnect purchase processes. What used to take hours or even days to complete is now done in a matter of minutes, giving management the data it needs to make near-real-time decisions that positively impact the bottom line. With more than 3,000 members exchanging over 40,000 documents each month in a secure, collaborative business environment, iXLink has proven to be the solution to have. Its product set includes price-list receipt, price-list distribution, bill receipt, and bill distribution.iXLink also has newly enhanced premium features, including dial-code analysis and discrepancy management, line-by-line invoice reconciliation and audit, and listed least-cost routing report, all designed to focus on improving financial performance. The increased efficiency these solutions offer enables carriers to grow unencumbered, secure in the knowledge that they have a reliable system in place to not only handle the addition of customers and suppliers but also protect revenue by preventing arbitrage.
Philip Marshall, senior vice president of enabling technologies and telecom solutions at Yankee Group, has helped reiterate the impact iXLink can have, stating, “In today’s competitive market service providers are seeking new ways to reduce costs and increase the efficiency of their interconnect business. By directly linking the world’s carriers and their interconnect processes, iXLink creates a paradigm shift in the market that will enable carriers to significantly reduce costs [and] increase visibility and control over interconnect transactions as well as strengthen overall intercarrier business relationships.”
