EXFO Selected by German Fiber Infrastructure Provider OXG to Integrate Remote Fiber Testing & Monitoring into Operational Workflows

EXFO announced that OXG, operator of an open-access wholesale-first fiber infrastructure in Germany, has selected EXFO as its technology partner to integrate Remote Fiber Testing & Monitoring into their operational and monitoring processes, providing real‑time visibility and automated fault detection across the entire infrastructure. OXG was founded in 2023 as a joint venture between Vodafone and Altice to accelerate FTTH deployment across Germany.

EXFO RFTM helps operators deploy, audit, activate, and troubleshoot fiber optic networks remotely. By adopting EXFO’s RFTM platform, OXG is laying the foundation for a proactive and fully automated fiber infrastructure monitoring strategy. The new solution will significantly reduce network downtime and strengthen overall service reliability.

OXG has already connected many German households, with the goal of extending connectivity to seven million homes over the next approximately six years.

EXFO will support OXG throughout the deployment process—including solution design, onboarding workshops, and end to end integration into OXG’s operational ecosystem—and provide ongoing support to ensure long term performance, availability, and scalability of the monitoring platform.
