AT&T Connectivity Powers Dictum Health’s
Virtual Exam Room
IoT Technology Enables the Care Continuum –
From Hospital to Rehab to Home
Dictum Health, innovators in clinical end-to-end telehealth systems, chose AT&T
to provide mobile connectivity for its Virtual Exam Room (VER) product
line, providing clinical care almost anytime and anywhere.
Here is what Dictum Health has to say regarding its VER solutions:
- Bring specialists to patients in remote/rural clinics.
- Provide healthcare in the field - even in disaster relief conditions.
- Facilitates patient monitoring, care, and recovery from home.
Physicians can securely conduct virtual exams and monitor the most
at-risk patients without sacrificing personalized care – in almost any
location.
The HIPAA compliant VER provides videoconferencing between patient
and care team. Clinicians have access to near real-time vital signs and
medical images. Expanding access to specialist care, this face-to-face
exam can help lower emergency room visits and hospital stays – reducing
overall healthcare costs.
An AT&T SIM and AT&T Control Center enables Dictum Health
Care Central with VER to connect patient to physician. According to
Dictum, the IDM100 Medical Tablet securely sends patient diagnostic and
health information to Care Central. Care Central’s web enabled clinician
portal and cloud service, provide a seamless gateway to patient health
information delivering clinical remote care. The cyber-secure IDM100
Integrated Medical Tablet is FDA class II cleared for use by clinicians
and home use from neonate to adult.
“With rural hospital closures, we have seen a major decline in
healthcare access, putting the burden on emergency transport,” said Dr.
Jonathan Baugh, chief medical officer and co-founder of Remote Health
Solutions. “From my office, I am able to conduct complete medical exams
on remote patients, allowing me to prioritize critical condition
patients for hospital transport and to assess non-critical patients,
avoiding unnecessary trips to the hospital.”
“Our VER-products are expanding access to clinical and specialist
care outside the hospital walls, which is only made possible by the
AT&T robust, high-speed connectivity” said Elizabeth Keate, VP of
Product Management at Dictum Health. “Virtually connecting physicians to
patients using our VER is redefining the house call by providing
actionable clinical patient data to the most at-risk patients including
those in rural and remote communities.”
