MVG OTA Test Systems Now Support Full WLAN OTA Signaling Testing Alongside Cellular Coverage With CMX500 OBT From Rohde & Schwarz

Rohde & Schwarz announced that MVG has integrated the full WLAN signaling test functionality including Wi-Fi 7 of the CMX500 One-Box Tester into its WaveStudio software. This allows manufacturers to conduct comprehensive 4G, 5G, and WLAN Over-the-Air testing within a single antenna measurement system.

Manufacturers of wireless and mobile devices require OTA test solutions that easily adapt to new technologies without significant investment. MVG addresses this need by integrating the full Wi-Fi® (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be) access point and station testing functionality of the CMX500 from Rohde & Schwarz into its WaveStudio Software Suite. In addition, the software now supports 5G NR Non-Standalone (EN-DC) testing with the CMX500. These expansions allow MVG's multiprobe measurement systems to fully support Wi-Fi® and cellular standards – including 5G NR Standalone, 5G NR Non-Standalone (EN-DC), RedCap, and LTE (FDD & TDD) – all within a single tester.
