Ericsson and MobiFone Collaborate on Plans for 5G Innovation HubEricsson and MobiFone Collaborate on Plans for 5G Innovation Hub in Vietnam to Drive Advanced Use CasesEricsson and MobiFone announced that they have signed an MoU to collaborate on establishing 5G Innovation Hub at MobiFone’s premises in Vietnam. The 5G Innovation Hub will feature innovative 5G use cases that demonstrate the potential of 5G for consumers and enterprises based on advanced, state of the art equipment, trained resources and interactive display. The 5G Innovation Hub will be designed to serve as a 5G co-creation space featuring state-of-the-art 5G sandbox network. It will be utilized to develop new 5G use cases in collaboration with partners in Vietnam and other parts of the globe. Both the Companies will promote the 5G Innovation Hub as a dynamic innovation environment for consumers and enterprises. The Innovation Hub will also support R&D projects. Mr. To Manh Cuong, MobiFone CEO says, “The 5G Innovation Hub will enable industries and businesses to realize the transformative potential of 5G, its relevance to their strategic long-term planning and as an enabler for their digital transformation initiatives. MobiFone would like the industry in Vietnam to realize the full benefits of Industry 4.0 with 5G.” Ericsson will share with MobiFone its global experiences on 5G commercial applications and support MobiFone in terms of establishing and maintaining the Innovation Hub operations, design consultancy, and service experience solutions.
