Salesforce Powers Limitless Government Capacity and Efficient Constituent Experiences with FedRAMP High AI Agents and Apps
- This authorization enables U.S. public sector organizations to improve constituent experiences and gain higher levels of efficiency by accessing a limitless, secure digital workforce that supports over-stretched public servants
- Salesforce products including Agentforce, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Tableau Next have achieved FedRAMP High authorization, uniting AI agents, apps, and data for U.S. public sector organizations for the first time
- The Salesforce partner ecosystem, including Accenture Federal Services and AWS, help make implementation fast and development simple
Salesforce announced its new FedRAMP High authorization for Agentforce — the agentic layer of the Salesforce Platform for building and deploying autonomous AI agents across any organizational function — alongside Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Tableau Next. Thanks to Salesforce’s deeply unified and secure platform, agentic capabilities are integrated across the platform.
Now, U.S. public sector organizations can access a limitless digital workforce that can provide constituents with instant support and free, over-stretched public servants to focus on the high-impact work that drives their missions forward.
What this means: Rather than forcing constituents to navigate complex and fragmented processes, agentic AI can transform government services into easy and efficient interactions that put citizens’ needs first. And the public is ready: 87% of Americans have reported they would use an AI agent to navigate public sector processes. With AI Agents, mission owners can now:
- Enhance decision-making: Government executives can use agents to uncover deep insights from large datasets such as public health data, infrastructure needs, and emergency response scenarios. These agents can pinpoint patterns, and identify areas for proactive programs or community development grants. For those on the frontline of the mission, such as caseworkers and investigators, Agentforce can rapidly familiarize them with a case, reveal relationship insights, recommend action plans, and automate outreach for personalized engagement. Working together, executives, caseworkers, and agents can better bring about successful long-term outcomes.
- Deliver personalized support: Digital labor from Agentforce can complement government teams by working alongside public servants to advance the mission. For example, an agent can help a compliance officer ensure community safety by reconciling complex policy rules with a license application, all while cross referencing data from legacy systems, such as audit or inspection reports. Agentforce also makes it possible to provide 1:1, individual support to every constituent. For example, an entrepreneur can engage a license and permit agent to help them obtain a business license, analyze tariffs, and receive proactive guidance throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
- Automate administrative work: Agentforce can handle repetitive tasks such as compiling documentation, updating case information, generating required forms, conducting benefit eligibility checks, or communicating updates. Automating tedious tasks frees public servants to focus on their core mission and the high-touch, impactful work that only they can do.
“What if every constituent interaction could be immediate, informed, and empathetic, regardless of volume or time of day? What if every constituent could access the services and information they needed, when and where they needed it? AI agents offer federal leaders the unique opportunity to finally make this a reality. And with digital labor working alongside dedicated government workers, the federal government can improve the level of experience, quality of service, and speed of responsiveness of their agencies exponentially.” – Nasi Jasayeri, EVP and GM of Public Sector at Salesforce
What is now authorized: The following Salesforce products are now FedRAMP High authorized:
- Agentforce increases service capacity with digital labor that can complete tasks with speed and scale while continuously learning and adapting.
- Data Cloud enables public sector organizations to break down data silos and harmonize information from Customer 360 apps, data lakes, warehouses, and business applications — regardless of format — using low-code tools and Zero Copy.
- Marketing Cloud builds trusted relationships through personalized engagement and communication across the entire outreach lifecycle.
- Tableau Next surfaces personalized, contextual, and actionable insights, empowering data-driven decision-making.
- Additional compliance achievements: The following products have also recently achieved FedRAMP High authorization.
- Service Cloud Voice modernizes phone interactions by integrating trusted, intelligent telephony into Salesforce with a unified view of complaints, cases, and constituents for more efficient resolutions.
- Digital Engagement empowers government contact centers to compliantly scale consistent and personalized experiences across trusted digital channels.
- Key Salesforce capabilities are already FedRAMP High authorized.
What sets Salesforce apart: Unlike other AI agents or limited LLMs, Agentforce has built-in trust standards and a unified approach that meets FedRAMP High security controls. Agentforce goes beyond baseline requirements to include:
- AI with Trust and Built-In Guardrails: Agentforce operates within strict guardrails, where users define specific actions, data access, and escalation protocols for AI agents. Salesforce’s unique Trust Layer further protects privacy and security with features like dynamic grounding, zero data retention, and toxicity detection, helping to ensure responsible AI use and maintain high safety and security standards.
- Deeply Unified Public Sector Platform: Agentforce is natively embedded across Salesforce applications such as Public Sector Solutions, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Tableau Next to deliver a simple and natural language experience across any Salesforce application.
- Seamless Data Integration: Data Cloud, the connective tissue for the Salesforce Platform, makes it easy to incorporate structured and unstructured data from different sources, like apps, data lakes, emails, images, PDFs or legacy systems. This provides Agentforce and public servants with a complete picture.
- Advanced Decision-Making and Predictive Insights: The Atlas Reasoning Engine — the “brain” behind Agentforce — can process and analyze complex data from multiple sources to make informed decisions, provide predictive insights, and generate actionable recommendations, enabling Agentforce to execute tasks more effectively.
“Imagine if small business owners could instantly get serviced with an AI agent instead of having to spend weeks or months trying to get help or navigate licensing, permitting, and other common, time consuming needs on their own. This is exactly what public sector leaders like the WEDC are already starting to do with Agentforce.” – Nasi Jasayeri, EVP and GM of Public Sector at Salesforce
WEDC is achieving real impact: Public sector customers are already leveraging Salesforce and Agentforce to expedite mission-critical work. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has partnered with Salesforce to integrate AI capabilities into a single, deeply unified platform that streamlines operations like ITSM, enhances efficiency, and fosters agility as they propel economic development for Wisconsin. The WEDC will further utilize Agentforce and Salesforce capabilities — including Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud — to boost operational speed, strengthen data integrity for better decision-making, and improve collaboration and information accessibility.
“Our goal is to create the infrastructure that enables our organization to succeed, as this foundation is essential for achieving our mission. The urgency of our work is underscored by the real and immediate impact on people’s lives, driving the need for quick and effective action,” said Joshua Robbins, SVP, Business Information & Technology Services at WEDC. “The plan is to create a centralized system to manage all data and activities, leveraging AI to enhance efficiency, streamline work, improve data integrity, and make information readily accessible.”
Salesforce partner ecosystem helps government leaders get up and running fast: U.S. public sector leaders can speed up implementation and increase ROI by working with trusted partners who can help them quickly make the most of Salesforce technology.
- Accenture Federal Services: “Accenture Federal Services’ highly skilled Agentforce practitioners have built a portfolio of agents designed to deliver on federal priorities including expediting government permits and reinventing contact centers. Our Federal customers can see greater impact and efficiency with Agentforce and achieving the FedRAMP High authorization is a game-changer to power agencies toward these goals.” – Aaron Jackson, Technology Growth Platform Leader and Senior Managing Director at Accenture Federal Services
- AWS: “As the first cloud provider to achieve FedRAMP High authorization, AWS provides the secure foundation that enables partners like Salesforce to accelerate their compliance journey. Together, AWS and Salesforce offer government customers a powerful combination of secure infrastructure and engagement tools, available through simplified purchasing channels like AWS Marketplace that help agencies modernize their operations while maintaining the stringent security controls required for mission-critical workloads.” – David Appel, Vice President, US Federal at AWS
What is FedRAMP? FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) is a government-wide compliance program that standardizes the assessment, authorization, and monitoring of cloud products and services for use by federal agencies. FedRAMP High is the highest level of accreditation that can be achieved and enables use of commercial cloud technology for agencies operating with the government’s most sensitive unclassified data.
This achievement is the result of rigorous third-party reviews and assessments, including reviews from the Joint Authorization Board composed of CIOs from the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and General Services Administration.
Salesforce perspective: “Public sector organizations have to move at the speed of their missions while maintaining the highest levels of trust and security. Salesforce empowers agencies to do both without compromising. With compliance and security built right in, government leaders can harness the same cutting-edge innovations driving efficiency and engagement in the private sector – things like 24/7, digital-first support, data insights that help agencies anticipate constituent needs, and AI tools that foster deeper connections with the people they serve.” – Nasi Jasayeri, EVP and GM of Public Sector at Salesforce
