Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization Awards Contract to Intelsat General

Intelsat General Communications, (IGC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Intelsat, today announced the award of a six-year contract with the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO).

Intelsat provides DALO with full-time Ku-Band satellite communication capacity. Intelsat also facilitates communications between DALO’s Danish hub, which is co-located with an Intelsat teleport, and ships operating in the North Atlantic Ocean, including the Labrador Sea and the Baffin Bay.

IGC has been the prime provider to DALO in support of the Danish Navy in the North Atlantic since 2007.
