Due to the vast volume of hardships created by the back-to-back storms, the Foundation must prioritize funding critical needs first.

DETAILS: The cable broadband industry often serves as one of the first responders in times of crisis, ensuring that communities stay connected. The recent devastation has left many of our colleagues and their families in dire need of immediate support. Tragically, the storms have claimed lives and caused significant destruction, underscoring the urgent need for assistance to bridge immediate gaps during such disasters. In response, the SCTE Foundation has mobilized its Disaster Support Fund to provide financial assistance through grants of up to $2,500 for those affected. With both recent hurricanes, the importance of this fund cannot be overstated. This support is designed to help individuals navigate the immediate aftermath of these disasters while access to other vital resources is being sought, such as insurance claims and government aid, that may take longer to process.
