EXFO Partners with Light Brigade to Offer FTTx Test & Measurement Training Supporting Growing Fiber Buildouts

EXFO announced a new partnership with Light Brigade, the leader in fiber optic skills training with a specialization in FTTH training under their established Light Brigade Broadband Academy. Both EXFO and Light Brigade have been key contributors in their respective sectors for more than 35 years.

Light Brigade is highly familiar with EXFO’s test and measurement solutions, having operated as a distribution partner for EXFO as well as utilizing EXFO equipment for its training courses. Specialty focused training will be offered on such FTTH test solutions as Optical Time Domain Reflectometer Optical Loss Test Set, fiber inspection, and fiber characterization. These new offerings complement existing comprehensive Light Brigade Broadband Fiber Optic Technician courses and certifications for FTTH.

“EXFO is pleased to partner with Light Brigade to continue delivering the best possible training for technicians and engineers tasked with supporting rapidly expanding access networks,” said Louis Adam, Chief Marketing Officer at EXFO. “These specialized courses include extensive theoretical and practical field training that will equip personnel to do right-the-first-time installations even in the largest FTTH deployments.”

Light Brigade has trained over 85,000 technicians, installers, engineers, designers, and other support staff from a variety of industries worldwide, providing them with the skills required to move forward in their careers.

“Light Brigade looks forward to partnering with EXFO to expand its training offering to further help service provider technicians become experts in their domain using the latest in test technology,” said Martin Lee, CEO, Light Brigade. “We’re excited to hit the ground running, with FTTH courses already getting underway.”
