New Mobile Subscriber Units To Speed Up and Improve Rural Service Deployment

Wireless broadband provider RADWIN has introduced a new carrier-grade 100 mbps subscriber unit designed specifically for rural service providers which the company claims will enable rapid, massive deployment and assure a high throughput connection.

RADWIN, the global wireless broadband provider, today announced the immediate availability of its new carrier-grade 100 Mbps subscriber unit, SU AIR.

RADWIN offers a carrier-grade portfolio expressly designed for rural service providers in the U.S. The JET AIR Bi-Beam base station has been adopted by tier-1 carriers worldwide and provides best-in-class interference immunity, ensuring unrivaled service reliability and network scalability. The newly released SU AIR subscriber units come with an option to add a TurboGain slide-on antenna to achieve higher gain, longer range and enhanced immunity to interference. RADWIN's WINTouch smartphone application simplifies SU AIR alignment, configuration and installation, enabling rapid massive deployment and assuring a high throughput connection.

"JET is garnering phenomenal feedback from rural service providers worldwide," stated Roni Weinberg, RADWIN EVP Global Business and COO. "We are especially excited by the strong interest shown by rural service providers in the U.S. Service providers are simply amazed by the fact that JET's Bi-Beamâ„¢ technology allows them to deliver anywhere between 5 to 10 times more capacity than existing systems in a real-world environment where there is high interference. This ability is crucial for service providers looking to deliver between 50-100 Mbps real service in the 5 GHz congested band to support bandwidth-intensive and delay sensitive applications such as Netflix and gaming, as well as fast internet browsing and video streaming."

RADWIN JET's Bi-Beamâ„¢ is the industry's first bi-directional Beamforming antenna. Combined with RADWIN's unique air interface and dynamic bandwidth management capabilities, JET provides a fiber-like service experience while enabling wide area coverage with fewer base station towers.

Concluded Weinberg: "RADWIN serves rural service providers looking to scale their residential networks and deliver reliable wireless broadband services to subscribers who expect more. We are excited by the tremendous opportunities in U.S and Canada and plan to continue investing significantly to support the service provider market."
