VIVA to Digitally Transform Bolivia with Balesia Technologies Investment

In order to further develop and modernize the telecommunications market in Bolivia, Balesia Technologies, Inc. signed an agreement to the acquisition of companies based in the United States that own 71.5% of the shares of NUEVATEL PCS de Bolivia-VIVA, a transaction that is still subject to the approval of the ATT. Balesia Technologies, Inc. is a United States company whose executives have managed telecommunications operations in more than 60 countries and have more than 75 years of combined experience in this field, including wireless operations and infrastructure. In Latin America, Balesia is one of the largest owners of telecommunications towers and has a presence in 14 countries. Through this new investor, VIVA aims to be one of the leading companies in data services and offer modern technological solutions.

To continue with the commitment to be the digital ally of Bolivians, Balesia Technologies will initially invest a substantial amount for the construction of more than 600 new wireless points throughout the country and will optimize VIVA's nearly 1,500 existing points. In order to optimize the existing network, Balesia will implement its proprietary multi-border technology to strengthen coverage and the ability to expand VIVA's offerings in mobile, home internet and internet TV services. VIVA's new business model will start as soon as the Telecommunications and Transportation Authority (ATT) issues its approval for the acquisition of Balesia.
