Two and a half years after the relaunch of Cricket Wireless, and the expansion of more than 1,300 stores across the U.S., Cricket opened its first store in Portland, Maine, marking a major milestone of Cricket branded stores now in all 50 states.

With last week's store opening in Maine, Cricket Wireless products and services are now offered at more than 4,300 Cricket Wireless-branded company and authorized retail stores in 50 states and the District of Columbia, with more than 14,000 points of retail distribution nationwide and the expansion of more than 800 new branded locations in 2016.

"The future of no-annual-contract wireless service is giving customers more value and continuing to redefine the customer experience," said John Dwyer, president, Cricket Wireless. "The stigma once carried by prepaid wireless no longer applies. Today, customers choosing prepaid wireless service can get more data on premium smartphones operating on a reliable network for an affordable cost. This wasn't the case five to 10 years ago."

Dwyer added, "Cricket Wireless is driving this industry evolution, which is accelerated by the strong customer and distribution growth we've seen since AT&T completed its acquisition of Leap Wireless in 2014."
