AT&T On The Inside Track With Interior Department

AT&T Delivers Mobile Device Management Capabilities to Department of Interior

AT&T has announced it will be helping the US Department of the Interior gain near real-time insights into its inventory of 27,000 mobile devices through a device management agreement

AT&T is helping the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) secure and manage 27,000 mobile devices.

AT&T will provide IBM Maas360 Mobile Device Management Solution as an authorized reseller. The application allows DOI to remotely control and support mobile device usage for employees.

DOI will use this solution for near real-time visibility into its device inventory. DOI can manage wireless service and applications to mobile devices— increasing productivity and reducing security and compliance risks.

“The DOI operates across more than 2,400 locations,” said Mike Leff, Vice President-Civilian, AT&T Global Public Sector. “It needs an easy, reliable solution to manage its mobile devices. This solution can help the Department’s users be more efficient and productive while increasing data security.”

DOI and the agencies it oversees give Americans access to more than 500 million acres of public lands. It is a Cabinet-level agency that manages America’s natural and cultural resources. It employs 70,000 people, including expert scientists and resource management professionals.
