Letter from the EditorThe Results Are InBy Scott St. JohnHow many issues do you need before you can say this is the best issue ever? Hopefully only two, because the June issue of Pipeline is chocked-full of hold-no-punches editorial content, news coverage, industry insights and executive interviews. The TMF contributed and excellent piece to this month's issue, which addresses and defines its NGOSS initiative. It also goes into depth on the subsequent benefit to the service providers, system integrators, and the OSS software companies. You'll also find interesting information regarding the adoption of NGOSS and the, often confusing, theory vs. reality debate of NGOSS compliance. This month's Feature Editorial is an excellent read on VoIP and how it's impacting the OSS space. But more importantly I think, it raises the issues where good technologies, which could potentially fuel a whole new generation of industry, can be strangled before they can ever come to fruition. I also believe this emphasizes the impact of regulation on emerging technologies and how regulation may be a causal reason for economic failure. The news coverage this month is especially edgy. Our news editor did a great job covering this month most relevant News in a hard-hitting format. As a matter of fact, he did such a good job, we let him write two articles for the News Review; both are definitely worth the read. Also in Pipeline this month, our Editor-in-Chief, Ed Finegold had a chance to exclusively interview Curtis Holmes, the CEO of Metasolv Software. I think you'll not only find out some interesting thing about the dynamics of Metasolv Software in this article, but also about Mr. Holmes. Lastly, I would also like to take a quick moment to thank our advertisers and sponsors for their support. Pipeline has been welcomed with great support from the industry's leading companies. Please take a moment to find out more about them on the Advertisers and Sponsors pages. There you'll find company descriptions, downloadable brochures, and information links about each company. I won't keep you from getting from Pipeline any longer. The whole issue is great. Enjoy! Scott St. John
