“In a revolution, as in a novel, the most difficult part to invent is the end.”
- Alexis de Tocqueville
Revolution is a strong word. Literally defined, it is a sudden, radical, and pervasive change. It's the sort of change that redefines convention and forces everyone to look, listen, and reevaluate. This change can be difficult for many.
Ask Marie Antoinette.
So yes. Revolution is a strong word. However, what is happening with content over the last decade is nothing short of a revolution. How much of it there is. How we receive it. What we expect in terms of quality and quantity. Expectations for delivery time.
In this issue, we endeavor to explore the content revolution, and how service providers can realistically capitalize on the changing world of consumer content. We'll hear from some of the top minds at industry leading companies like Amdocs, JacobsRimell, Sigma Systems, and Allot as they explore how to meet the needs of service providers and end users alike as they tackle new and different services.
Also, we continue with LTC International's Wedge Greene and Trevor Hayes as they discuss the relationship between the Edge and the Core as telecom continues to grow and change.
We'll also take a look at Mobile Word Congress 2008, which took place last month in Barcelona. We'll join a couple of contributors who were on the scene (along with 55,000 other attendees!).
We bring you all of that, plus the latest OSS news.
